Kevin E. Schlabach is a husband, father, and proud geek.
Not only has his wonderful wife tolerated his many oddities, but she has also taken him around the world to amazing places such as the ryokans of Japan and the jungles of Costa Rica. His two children provide the appropriate amount of enjoyment and punishment that karma owes him based on the amount of stress he provided his own parents.
He was instilled with farming community values in southern Delaware before being the first in his family to go to college and move to Philadelphia. He currently lives in a glass house in the middle of the woods on a mountain near Valley Forge National Historical Park. Though this may sound luxurious, he pays a lot on heating bills and is never sure what person (or animal) is watching him from outside at night.
In a perfect world, he would have retired by now to the California coast so that he could spend his days driving his wife up and down the Pacific Coast Highway in an exotic European sports car or traveling the world while clogging his arteries with cholesterol from high end ice cream and cheese, and occasionally sneaking beer into nursing homes to share with wise witty old men who like to boardgame. (All of this while owning whatever cool new technology gadget is worth playing with at the time.)
